The first question most business owners ask is: do I need a website or an app? The answer depends on one thing: what will your customer do, and how often?
When a website is enough
A website is your front door on the internet. Start with one if your goal is to:
- Be found on Google when people search for your service in Amman or across Jordan.
- Show your services, work and prices in a professional way that builds trust.
- Let customers reach you fast through WhatsApp, a call button or a request form.
- Sell online with an e-commerce store, without asking anyone to install anything.
A website works on every device, needs no app-store approval, and costs less to build and maintain.
When you need a mobile app
An app makes sense when customers come back regularly, for example:
- Weekly or daily orders (restaurants, delivery, groceries).
- A service that needs instant notifications, like order status or payment reminders.
- Features that rely on the phone itself: camera, biometrics, location.
From our work: the Shahed installments app needs ID scanning, biometric sign-in and payment reminders, so an app was the right choice.
And business systems?
If the problem is inside your business rather than reaching customers (stock, invoices, staff, appointments), you need a system that runs in the browser — like Warshatak, which runs a garage from car check-in to delivery.
The short version
| If your goal is | Start with |
|---|---|
| Getting found and winning new customers | A website |
| Customers who return every week | A mobile app |
| Organizing your operations | A system (SaaS) |
